The U visa is a nonimmigrant status for foreign nationals who have suffered substantial abuse as victims of certain serious crimes in the United States and who assist law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of those crimes. Holders may later apply for a green card.

Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ)

Special Immigrant Juvenile status applies to unmarried foreign nationals under the age of 21 in the United States who cannot reunite with one or both parents due to abuse, abandonment, or neglect. SIJ status provides a pathway to lawful permanent residence.
